Why Massage feels good?

Most of us know how good we feel after we receive a massage... but why is that?

When we receive a massage, we are allowing our mind to be aware of what is really going on in the body. We become conscious and mindful of how the body is feeling and where we can nurture and send healing.

Other then being aware, Massage Therapy gives us a chance to change pace and do a bit of deep breathing. Deep Breathing/Diaphragmatic breathing directly effects your Vagus Nerve. This nerve is responsible for getting us into a "Rest and Digest" state in our nervous system. Everytime the diaphragm moves deeply, it pulls and stimulates this nerve.

Now I know many of you are thinking... there are many more reasons a massage feels so good! All those additional reasons are the scientific benefits of massage therapy.
